Hal Huff BA, ND, M.Sc.
Professor, Clinic Supervisor. Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I am a naturopathic doctor, clinician-researcher, and full-time faculty member at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).
I graduated from CCNM in 1998 and earned my M.Sc. in ‘Health Research Methods’ from McMaster University’s department of ‘Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact’.
I’m interested in assisting patients with a broad range of conditions (I coordinate CCNM’s course in Primary Care). However, I am most known for my special focus on the management of diabetes and related areas including, weight and pain management, metabolic syndrome, and fatty liver disease. As a person living with type 1 diabetes, I bring to the table a unique, lived perspective about wellness, fitness, and optimized cardiometabolic health – I walk the talk.
More broadly, I consider myself a consumer advocate, helping our patients navigate the often-confusing, sometimes-misleading, realm of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). I advocate for a collaborative, evidence-informed, big picture (think holistic) brand of health care.
